About Cancun
Located at the tip of the Yucatan Peninsula in eastern Mexico, alongside clear, warm, Caribbean waters, Cancun is more than just a hotspot for spring break beachside partying and clubbing in the acclaimed Hotel Zone. The Cancun area used to be inhabited by Mayan civilizations and this is evident in the ruins at Chichen Itza a short drive away. A small, sparsely populated fishing village up until 30 years ago, Cancun has grown into one of Mexico's most popular destinations, attracting two million visitors per year.
